Sunrise Graduate

Full circle

From student to teacher

“Sunrise gave me a home, an education, and taught me to believe in myself. Once I received my honours, I wanted other children from Sunrise to know how that felt. Starting a learning centre for young people in my home village reminded me of the one that changed my life.”

Sokhom

Sunrise Graduate, Founder of The Lydia Project

Where is Sokhom now?

Sokhom moved through our University House program before graduating with honours. She chose to return to her remote village and build a ministry centre for children. Today, over 50 children attend her centre each day, where she teaches English, Khmer, and shows them that someone knows their name and cares about their future.
